Reference Reconciliation: Pearl

Comparing editions and some of the various translations of Pearl can be confusing: standard editions (e.g., Gordon’s) number the lines throughout the poem; Borroff’s translation does not include line numbers, but does number sections and the stanzas within each section; Tolkien’s translation does not number the sections but numbers the stanzas consecutively throughout the poem. This table is intended to facilitate comparisons and cross-referencing.
